Merge videos into one

Drop two or more clips, put them in order and join them. A phone clip and a screen recording can go together: each is fitted into one frame, whole with black bars or cropped to fill, and keeps its own sound in sync. It all happens in your browser, so there is no watermark and nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

Example: a phone intro and a screen recording

Start with
A 9:16 phone intro (0:12) and a 16:9 screen recording (2:30).
Do this
Frame: 16:9, clips that don't fit: show whole.
You get
A 2:42 video at 1920×1080: the phone clip sits in the middle with black bars, then the screen recording fills the frame.

Pick 9:16 instead when the result is for Reels, Shorts or TikTok; then the screen recording gets the bars.

Good to know

Trim each clip first if it has dead air at the ends: joining keeps every frame of every clip.

Clips with a different frame rate are played at their own pace; the joined video uses the highest frame rate of the set.

Questions

Can I merge videos of different sizes or orientations?

Yes. Choose the frame (the first clip's size, 16:9, vertical 9:16 or square) and whether clips that do not match are shown whole with black bars or cropped to fill it.

What happens to a clip with no sound?

It gets silence for its length, so the next clip's sound still starts with its picture.

Can I add transitions?

No: clips are joined with straight cuts. For crossfades between photos, the photo slideshow maker has them.

Is there a limit on clips or length?

No clip count or watermark. Your computer does the work, so long or 4K clips need more time and memory. The joined video is at most 1920 pixels on the long side.
