Change a video's speed
Speed up a slow tutorial, make a time-lapse or slow a moment down. Pick 0.25× to 4×: the sound is stretched so voices keep their pitch (untick it for the chipmunk effect), and you can hear 5 seconds before exporting. It runs in your browser, with no watermark and no upload.
How to use it
- Drop the videoMP4, MOV from a phone, or WebM.
- Pick the speed0.25× to 4×; the plan shows the new length.
- Choose the soundKeep the voice's pitch, let it follow the speed, or no sound.
- Hear it, then exportFive seconds at the new speed first, then the whole video.
What you can download here
- MP4 at the new speedH.264 and AAC in Chrome and Edge
- WebMin browsers that cannot make MP4
Example: a slow 12-minute walkthrough
- Start with
- A 12:00 screen recording of a software walkthrough.
- Do this
- 1.5×, keep the voice's pitch, hear 5 seconds first.
- You get
- An 8:00 MP4 in which the voice sounds like the same person talking briskly.
At 2× and above speech gets hard to follow; keep those speeds for silent parts and time-lapses.
Good to know
1.25× or 1.5× is the usual speed for tutorials and walkthroughs: most viewers follow it easily, and with the pitch kept the voice still sounds like the same person.

Questions
Will voices sound like chipmunks?
Not unless you want them to. With "Keep the voice's pitch" ticked, the sound is stretched in short overlapping pieces matched to the waveform, so speech keeps its natural pitch. Above 2× speech gets hard to follow whatever the method.
What happens to the frame rate when I speed it up?
The video keeps its frame rate: at 2× every other frame is used, so motion stays smooth and the file is not bloated with extra frames.
Is slow motion smooth?
Each frame is shown for longer; no frames are invented. Footage filmed at 60 fps slows to 0.5× smoothly; 30 fps footage looks steppy at 0.25×.
Is there a length limit?
No account or watermark limit. Your computer does the work, so long videos take a while. Videos larger than 1920 pixels on the long side come out at 1920.
