Using the tools
Cuescribe provides free browser-based tools for transcripts, subtitles, clips and audio. You may use them for personal and commercial work. You are responsible for having the rights to any media you process, and for how you use the results.
Content from other platforms
When you paste a link, we fetch captions that the platform makes available for that video. Those captions and the video belong to their owners. Use them in line with the owner's rights and the platform's terms; for example, quoting, accessibility and your own videos are fine, republishing someone else's work as your own is not.
Your files
Files you open are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us. Work saved in your browser can be lost if you clear your browser data; download a project file to keep a copy.
Accuracy
Automatic transcription, caption timing, loudness measurement and audio sync are good but not perfect. Check results before you publish or deliver them. The tools are provided "as is", without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for losses arising from their use.
Fair use of the service
Don't use automated scripts to send large numbers of link lookups, and don't try to disrupt the service. We may limit or block traffic that does.
Paid plans
There are no paid plans yet. If we launch one, its price and terms will be shown before you buy, and these terms will be updated.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
