Questions
Why didn't my YouTube link work?
YouTube often blocks requests from data centres. When it does, try again later; for your own videos, YouTube Studio has a download button.
Can I use audio from YouTube anywhere?
Download only videos you made or have permission to use. Re-uploading someone else's video can break copyright and the platform's rules.
Which is better, M4A or MP3?
M4A is the original audio, so it is slightly better and smaller; MP3 plays on absolutely everything. Pick M4A unless a device or app needs MP3.
How small is the speech preset?
Mono at 64 kbps is about 29 MB per hour, a quarter of a 256 kbps stereo file, and still clear for voices.
