Add captions to a video
Pick a caption style, crop to 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5, check what the app's buttons will cover, and export a captioned MP4. Your video never leaves your computer: the speech model downloads once and runs in this tab.
Runs on your device. The speech model (OpenAI Whisper) downloads once, then works offline.
Transcript only. Add the video file to preview captions and export clips. It stays on your device.

Questions
Can it highlight each word as it's spoken?
Yes, the "Word pop" style does, when the transcript has word timing (anything transcribed here, and YouTube automatic captions).
Are the safe-area guides exact?
They are approximate: each app moves its buttons now and then. Keep important text inside the clear zone and you are fine in all three.
