Questions
Why didn't my YouTube link work?
YouTube often blocks requests from data centres. When it does, try again later; for your own videos, YouTube Studio has a download button.
Can I download any YouTube video?
Download only videos you made or have permission to use. Re-uploading someone else's video can break copyright and the platform's rules.
Why only 360p or 720p?
Higher qualities come as separate picture and sound files that have to be joined, and many need signature decoding. We only offer files YouTube hands over complete, so what you get plays straight away.
Is there a browser extension for YouTube downloads?
Not from us: Chrome Web Store rules don't allow extensions that download YouTube videos, and ours doesn't. Its YouTube feature is the transcript side panel.
Can I download my own YouTube videos in full quality?
Yes, in YouTube Studio: Content → the ⋮ menu next to a video → Download. That gives you your upload at its processed quality.
