Script to subtitles
Auto captions get names, numbers and jargon wrong; your script doesn't. Paste the script and drop the recording: we transcribe it on your device just to find when each word was said, then time your exact words to it. Already have subtitles in one language? Paste the translation and it is poured into the same timing.

Questions
What if I went off-script?
Words you said that are not in the script are left out, and script words you skipped are squeezed in between their neighbours. The match rate tells you how closely the recording followed the script; below about 70% it is worth checking the result in the subtitle fixer.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. The speech model runs in this tab (it downloads once: about 200 MB, or 120 MB for the fast one) and is only used to find word timings. Your script and recording never leave your device.
How does the translation option work?
Paste the original SRT and the translated text. If the translation has one line per subtitle, each line goes into the matching subtitle. If it is one block of text, it is shared out in proportion to the original subtitles and broken at sentence ends when one is close.
Which languages work?
The script mode works best for English and the other major languages Whisper handles. The translation mode works for any language because it only reuses timing.
