Fix dead pixels and dust spots in a video
A bright dot from a stuck sensor pixel, a dark smudge from dust on the sensor or the lens: the same mark in every frame. Let the page look for stuck pixels, or click on a spot and size the circle, then compare before and after up close. Each spot is repainted from the picture around it in every frame and the video is saved with its sound. Nothing is uploaded.

Good to know
A stuck pixel from a camera sensor sits at the same place in every clip from that camera: note its position and mark it the same way next time.
Dust that moves between shots (because the lens or the zoom changed) needs one pass per shot: trim the shots apart first.

Questions
How do I fix a hot or stuck pixel in my footage?
Drop the clip and press Find stuck pixels. The page looks at 12 frames across the video and lists the pixels that stand out from their neighbours in at least half of them. Check each one in the close-up, remove any that is real detail (a star, a distant lamp on a locked-off shot), and save.
How do I remove a dust spot from a video?
Click the middle of the spot on the picture, then set the spot size until the circle covers its soft edge. Before and after are shown side by side, enlarged; move the frame slider to check other moments of the video.
Does it work when the camera moves?
Yes, for marks on the sensor or the lens: they stay at the same place in the frame while the picture moves under them. A mark on something in the scene moves with it and is not followed.
What does the fix look like up close?
The spot is repainted from the pixels around it: a smooth surface fitted to its surroundings, blended at the edge. On sky, walls and skin it disappears; across fine texture or a sharp edge a large spot can look soft, so keep the circle just big enough.
Does it lose quality?
The video is re-encoded once at its own size and a high bitrate; only the marked spots change. The sound is kept.
