Show a TikTok to ChatGPT
Paste a TikTok link into ChatGPT and it can't watch the video. This page turns the video into something ChatGPT can look at: frames from the whole video, starting with its opening, laid out in one picture with the time under each, plus what is said (from TikTok's captions) and the post's caption as text. ChatGPT can read the text on screen in the frames too. On a phone, share it to the ChatGPT app; on a computer, paste it in. Photo posts work as well, every slide numbered in order. The picture is made on your device, and you can also drop your own video or screenshots.
How to use it
- Paste the TikTok linkA video or a photo post; or drop your own video or screenshots.
- Pick what to askWhat happens in it, how it is made, a check of its claims, or your own question.
- Share or paste itOn a phone, share the picture and the words to the ChatGPT app. On a computer, copy the picture into ChatGPT, then the words.
- SendChatGPT looks at the frames, reads the text on screen and has what is said, so you can ask it more afterwards.
What you can download here
- JPG pictureup to 12 frames, each with its time (or slide number) under it, sized for ChatGPT
- Textthe link, the post's caption, what is said with times, and your question; also as a TXT file
Good to know
The frames are found and drawn on your device; only the TikTok lookup goes through our server. Each frame comes from its own equal part of the video, so one person talking gets frames from start to end just like a video full of cuts, and a title card shown twice goes in once.
A very long transcript is cut after about 12,000 characters in the box, to keep the message short; Save the words (TXT) keeps all of it, unless you edited the box.

Questions
Can ChatGPT watch a TikTok?
Not from a link: it can't play the video. You can upload a video file to ChatGPT, but OpenAI's help says it may not look at the whole video or understand its sound, and every upload counts toward your plan's limits. This page sends the whole video as one picture of frames, with what is said as text.
Why one picture?
One picture is one upload, and uploads are limited, most of all on a free account (OpenAI's help page said 3 file uploads a day on the free plan in October 2026). The picture is no bigger than what OpenAI's current models look at in full detail (2,048 pixels on a side, 2,500 tiles of 32 pixels), so the frames are as large as they can be without being shrunk. Twelve frames fit in one picture; 24 or 36 make two or three.
How are the frames picked?
The video is looked at every half second (a video longer than two minutes, 240 times spread evenly). The first frame comes from the first three seconds, where a TikTok's hook usually is. The rest of the video is split into equal parts, one per frame, and each part gives its clearest frame (not a fade or a blur) that looks new and sits near the middle of the part. A frame that repeats one already picked, such as a title card shown again, is left out, and so are black and blank frames. That way the frames cover the whole video evenly, whether it is fast cuts or one person talking. Each frame has its time under it.
What if the TikTok has no captions?
Then TikTok has no spoken words to give. Press Add the spoken words and they are transcribed on your device (the speech model downloads once), or send the picture alone: ChatGPT can still see what happens and read the text on screen.
Does it work on photo slideshows?
Yes. Paste the link to a photo post and every slide goes in, numbered in order, twelve to a picture, with the post caption.
Can I use an Instagram or YouTube link?
For now this page takes TikTok links. For a video from somewhere else, save it and drop the file here: the picture is made the same way, and Add the spoken words transcribes it.
Is my video uploaded?
Files you drop never leave your device. For a TikTok link, our server fetches the post from TikTok and passes it to your browser, which makes the picture. Nothing goes to ChatGPT until you share or paste it yourself.
Can ChatGPT read a TikTok's words from a link?
Not from the TikTok link itself. Put https://cuescribe.app/r/ in front of it and send the whole link, https:// at the start included, in a message like: Open https://cuescribe.app/r/https://www.tiktok.com/@name/video/… and tell me what that page says. That page shows the video's captions as plain text, made for ChatGPT and other assistants that open links. It has the words only; this page adds what the video shows.
